Wow! A bumper year for blossom. The trees have been laden with stunning flowers and (touch wood) so far have largely escaped the frost. But we are not entirely free from risk – the small ‘setting’ fruit buds are soft and vulnerable should we get a late cold snap – a potential through to the end of May.
We attended Brewhaven Beer & Cider festival at Newhaven Fort at the start of the month - a great event – 16 beer and cider producers from Sussex accompanied by live music and fabulous local food providers. It looks like this could become an annual fixture – make a note to put it in the diary for next year!
Well done to all those nominated for one of our Bignose & Beardy ‘Cool to the Core’ awards – we’ve started delivering our shiny little gold ‘Oscar’ bottles to the winners.
In fact, we enjoyed giving prizes to cool and worthy folk – so have decided to keep the ‘Cool to the Core’ awards open for nominations – check out the website for details on how to tell us about someone you think is worthy.
Our cidery tours, tastings and taproom sessions are starting this month. Tickets are bookable through our web shop – four dates from May through to September – if you would like to join us follow the link https://bignoseandbeardy.com/collections/events
We would love to see you!
