Description

Come and join us on Saturday 15th February at the Cidery Orchard for a pruning course lead by Bignose Phil.

On this half day course (1000-1400) you will be part of a small group getting hands on with the trees in our orchard.

You will learn:

  • Why we prune our trees for health and productivity
  • How to use different tools and techniques
  • Different approaches for spur and tip fruiting varieties
  • How to plan your pruning for each tree
  • How to manage sequential pruning over several years

You'll practice the techniques on our trees under Phil's watchful eye so you are confident to work on your own trees when you go home.

Lunch and a cider tasting are included. Let us know any dietary needs.

Dress for the weather, we can supply gloves and tools and you are welcome to bring your own.

This event is at the The Cidery, Upper Brookhouse, Brookhouse Lane, Framfield TN22 5QJ

(We are the last turn on the left before the bottom of the lane coming from the village)

Our What/3/Words location is: acute.fermented.begin

Ticket Information

All the event details are given on this page. We'll add you to our list on order confirmation.

COMING SOON...

You will be able to access your tickets via the link in the order confirmation email sent to you, and from the order confirmation page.

You can save tickets to your device wallet, print off a copy or just show us the QR code on your device when you arrive. You can forward your ticket on to other guests too.

We also have your details on our list so we can register you on arrival without a QR code - don't worry if you can't print it off or have no signal when you arrive, just tell us your name.

Event Refund Information

We will issue a refund for event tickets on request up to 72 hours before an event. After that it is hard for us to resell a ticket and we may already have incurred expenses on your behalf.

Refunds will be for the full amount minus the ticketing fee we will have paid for each ticket (£1 per ticket) and a £5 admin fee.

Ideally we'd prefer to reschedule your ticket to another date or event where an equivalent is available, there is no fee for this.

Local Accommodation Options

Obviously, not everyone lives near us. If you are tempted to visit us or join one of our events and you don't live locally, why not make a trip of it?

We are swamped with National Trust sites, and have three steam train lines nearby. Plus there are wild swimming sites, ancient villages, pubs, breweries, amazing places to eat…
