Special offer for the more sophisticated palates 🧐
Greetings, Ciderling!
We don’t want to oversell it but…we’re talking about something positively biblical today. Can you guess what it is?
-
it’s been (literally) brewing a while
-
this stuff has been used since 3,300 BC as a medicine and a tonic (*disclaimer, we make no claims!)
-
it’s mentioned in the Old and New Testaments
-
if you leave any alcoholic liquid exposed to air for long enough, it turns into this
-
its name comes from the Latin for “sour wine”
If you haven’t got it by now…your last clue is…
CHIPS.
We are of course talking about…
*mildly dramatic pause*
vinegar
You know we love an experiment. Well, this time we’ve been playing around with herbs to create a tasty, botanical version of our apple cider vinegar.
Introducing…
And as a limited launch special offer, we’re offering 10% off the first 100 bottles!
We infused our classic ACV with lemon, blackcurrant, bay, fennel, black pepper, rosemary and dandelion root for the ultimate non-alcoholic aperitivo! By the way, you have to say aperitivo in a Del Boy accent.
It’s our first foray into the world of posh non-alcoholic beverages. And we’re pretty proud of it. Enjoy Shrub with a neutral mixer like soda/tonic water. We recommend a ratio of 1:7. The 7 being the fizzy water, otherwise you’ll blow your taste buds off.
It’s important to have a soft drink option that tastes a little sharp and sophisticated. And it’s even better if you can brag about its wholesome origins. Shrub is made by hand from all-natural ingredients and waste apples, naturally fermented and matured over 8 years. Aged longer than some whiskeys!
We’ve been very pleasantly surprised how versatile the end result is too. It’s added a real depth to the flavour, so we’ve been using it in cocktails, mocktails, salad dressings and marinades. You can also use Shrub with a dash of water as an ACV wellbeing shot in the mornings.
So go on, wrap your tastebuds around something a little different.
